Overview

Area Asset Protection Manager (AAPM)

Lead Asset Protection activities for assigned units in accordance with company policies and procedures, to drive sales and profits.

Primary Responsibilities:

Team Development

• Conducts developmental conversations with direct reports, maintaining notes on strengths and opportunities.
• Interviews, hires, and trains Asset Protection staff, ensuring adherence to directives, policies, and procedures.
• Provides coaching on the sales floor to develop associates and advises leadership on opportunities.

Internal & External Investigations

• Identifies theft and fraud through observation, reports, and referrals.
• Interviews suspects and documents investigations thoroughly.
• Ensures completeness and accuracy of all Asset Protection documentation.
• Collaborates with other locations and law enforcement to identify Organized Retail Crime (ORC).
• Attends hearings and maintains court-related documentation.

Shrink and Safety

• Customizes Asset Protection strategies for stores, focusing on shrinkage reduction and safety.
• Coaches staff on hazard prevention and maintains merchandise protection standards.
