Druid Hills Middle School is seeking a Custodian to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for our students and staff. The ideal candidate should be capable of operating cleaning equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums, and must understand proper cleaning and sanitizing procedures. The role involves performing cleaning tasks with excellence and collaborating professionally with team members.

Essential Job Duties:

• Maintain cleanliness of all school facilities including classrooms, restrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and outdoor areas.
• Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and trash removal.
• Restock supplies and manage inventory of cleaning materials and equipment.
• Set up and clean cafeteria spaces for food service, adhering to hygiene standards.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed for school activities.
• Collaborate with custodial staff and school personnel to complete tasks efficiently.
• Remain on-site during designated periods for special activities to provide support.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests and emergency cleaning needs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent with 0-3 years of experience, or comparable education and experience.
