UIC Alaska in Nome is seeking an Operations Coordinator to provide hands-on logistical and operational support for ARL, coordinating in-person logistics, lodging, vehicles, and client onboarding.

You will greet clients, assist with fieldwork operations for research and military exercises, maintain and prepare equipment, and foster community outreach with Nome residents. The role requires flexibility, strong organization, and the ability to adapt to changing needs in a remote Alaskan environment.

Competenze

• Requires valid Alaska driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Organizational skills and ability to manage time and priorities.
• Experience collaborating with teams and community stakeholders.

Mansioni

• Coordinate client logistics in Nome, including airport pickups/drop-offs, vehicle delivery/retrieval, and lodging check-ins.
• Provide orientation and basic operating instructions for snowmachines and ATVs.
• Prepare and stage vehicles, snowmachines, ATVs and equipment for client use, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
• Maintain ARL facilities and equipment through inspections and schedule service/repairs.
• Build relations with Nome community members and local service providers to support operations and engagement.
