Job summary

Ambler Metals seeks a field technician to support exploration tasks in the Upper Kobuk Mineral Project region. You will assist soil samplers, geologic mapping, and geophysical crews in a remote Alaskan camp, collaborating with supervisors to maintain safety and data quality.

The role requires operating in alpine arctic terrain, adhering to a 20/10 rotation from May through September, with travel by small aircraft, four-wheel drives, and helicopters as needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year in a similar duties role preferred.
• Remote work experience, preferably in Alaska.
• Ability to work in Arctic field conditions and remote camp settings.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist soil sampling: collect samples, record data, prepare bags and labels.
• Support geologic mapping: assist field geologists and data collection.
• Support geophysical data acquisition: help with field data collection.
• Maintain safety practices, participate in daily safety meetings and lodges.
