Job summary

Ambler Metals LLC seeks an Exploration Manager to lead the UKMP exploration strategy from Anchorage, Alaska, including drilling, modelling, QA/QC, and budget management. You will oversee geoscience programs from early exploration through feasibility support, aligning with safety, sustainability, and partner commitments.

You will manage a diverse team, mentor staff, engage with communities and regulators, and adapt plans for remote Arctic field seasons and project milestones.

Qualifications

• MS degree in Geoscience or related discipline; advanced degree preferred; candidates with a Bachelor's degree and significant relevant experience may also be considered.
• Professional Geologist (P.Geo, CPG or equivalent) designation preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• 10+ years in mineral exploration with 4+ years in leadership roles; Arctic/remote, helicopter experience essential.
• Experience in VMS and/or carbonate-hosted copper target generation, drill program design, geology/geochemistry/geophysics integration and deposit modelling.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS, Leapfrog, acQuire, ioGAS, and Microsoft Office.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement exploration and geoscience strategies aligned with corporate objectives and budgets.
• Lead deposit, near-mine and district exploration programs including drilling and resource support.
• Provide technical oversight for geological modeling, GIS data management, QA/QC for drilling and sampling.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, cost control, and deliver technical reports and presentations.
• Supervise staff and contractors on site, including hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews.
• Drive safety, sustainability, and community/ regulator engagement across operations.
