Job summary

Certifiedarchivists is seeking an Archivist for Fulton County Schools in Atlanta, GA. Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working or interning in a related field or a Master’s in MLIS or preservation-related discipline.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks, projects, and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Collecting and preserving artifacts for accessibility to stakeholders.
  • Developing a records management system for archival collections.
  • Educating employees and patrons of standard archival processes.
  • Conducting administrative functions of the Fulton County Archives.

Skills

Knowledge of school and District policies and practices
Working knowledge of museum software (e.g., PastPerfect, Omeka)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of archival standards and practices
Ability to collaborate effectively
Excellent organizational and customer service skills
Excellent communication skills

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Archives or history-related discipline
Certified Archivist preferred
