Job summary

CHRISTUS Health seeks an Archive Specialist to manage archival collections under the Archive Director. You will inventory, organize, describe, preserve, and store historical documents, photographs, and artifacts following professional standards.

You will support digitization initiatives, maintain metadata, provide reference services, create exhibits, and collaborate across departments while handling confidential information with discretion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Archive related field required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Three years of archive experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and databases required.

Responsibilities

• Independently manages archival collections by inventorying, evaluating, sorting, and organizing materials.
• Describe and store historical documents and records per archival standards.
• Update and maintain necrology records and metadata in archival systems.
• Respond to research inquiries while maintaining confidentiality and assisting researchers.
