Job summary

Boston University Libraries seeks an Archives Instruction Assistant for a grant-funded 3-year instruction program within the Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center. Qualifications

• One to three years of relevant experience.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, preparation, and hosting undergraduate class visits to the archives.
• Provide day-of support for instruction sessions with faculty, including moving and tracking material to and from collection storage.
• Support faculty in building class assignments and learning resources; assist with light collection descriptions.
• Help create Learning Resources Repository objects for future classroom use.
• Coordinate class bookings, scheduling, collections requests, and room setup; guide faculty and students through policies.
• Identify materials relevant to coursework and maintain topical resource lists for future classes.
