Job summary

Angelo State University’s West Texas Collection is hiring a student employee to assist with retrieving, handling, and organizing archival materials. You will support basic archival processing and participate in preservation and digitization projects using specialized equipment.

You will also help library patrons in the reading room and perform other duties as assigned. The role requires current enrollment and availability on Saturdays; physical tasks include standing, lifting up to 30 pounds,

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled as a student.
• Must be available to work Saturdays.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks accurately.
• Ability to perform detailed work with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to organize work and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with retrieving, handling, and organizing collection materials.
• Support basic archival processing and participate in preservation and digitization projects using specialized equipment.
• Provide professional and helpful assistance to patrons using archival and reading room materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
