Job summary

Woolpert, Inc. is seeking an experienced Architecture Program Manager to join our National Aviation Team in Denver, CO.

You will lead large-scale airport and infrastructure programs, coordinate design teams, manage budgets, schedules, and field operations to deliver client value. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in construction or program management, a related bachelor's degree, and expertise with aviation projects, Procore or similar CM software, and Revit.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of construction management or project management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with aviation projects and airport coordination.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with Revit.
  • Familiarity with construction management software (Procore, Project Site, etc.).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Ability to obtain an airport badge.
  • Ability to drive on the airfield; Woolpert vehicle provided.

Position Overview

Woolpert is hiring an experienced Architecture Program Manager to join our National Aviation Team. This role supports Woolpert's Aviation market by helping deliver complex infrastructure and airport construction programs for corporate clients.

We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.

What You Will Do
  • Client representation: Serve as the owner's representative on large-scale, multi-year corporate client programs, acting in the client's best interest and supporting clear communication among all stakeholders.
  • Team leadership: Lead and supervise program management staff, including field engineers, construction managers, and financial controllers. Provide direction, mentorship, and performance oversight.
  • Client coordination and reporting: Coordinate with corporate clients and leadership to align project goals, communicate expectations, report progress, and implement approved changes.
  • Budget management: Track expenses, pay applications, project risks, allowances, and contingencies. Review, recommend, and negotiate change orders, and support closeout documentation.
  • Schedule management: Track deliverable due dates, milestones, deliveries, phasing, and overall progress. Prepare weekly and monthly reports and maintain required program documentation.
  • Quality oversight: Monitor materials and workmanship to confirm adherence to project specifications and quality expectations.
  • Contractor coordination: Monitor construction performance, review submittals, RFIs, and proposed changes, provide recommendations to the client, issue field direction, and support resolution of construction issues.
  • Design team coordination: Review design documents to confirm client requirements are incorporated, track design decisions and design contingency, coordinate architect/engineer-of-record field visits, and support accuracy of as-built drawings.
  • Airport coordination: Help the client, design team, and contractor understand airport-specific requirements and coordinate activities that may affect airport operations.
  • Permitting: Track program permits, facilitate reviews with the city/county and design team, and support contractor permitting for delegated design items.
  • Inspection coordination: Schedule third-party inspections, observations, and tests; document and track non-conformance items; maintain logs of completed work; and coordinate with Woolpert field engineers and construction managers.
What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of construction management or project management experience.
  • Strong understanding of architecture, corporate client service, construction practices, permitting, and inspections.
  • Experience with aviation projects and airport coordination.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Revit preferred.
  • Familiarity with construction management software (Procore, Project Site, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, airport stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback, direction, and guidance to team members.
  • Ability to safely navigate active construction sites and comply with all safety requirements.
  • Ability to obtain an airport badge.
  • Ability to drive on the airfield non-movement area; a Woolpert vehicle will be provided.
Travel Requirements
  • This role currently supports program efforts at Denver International Airport (DEN). The expectation is to work on-site with the DEN team at least three days per week. A company vehicle will be provided.
  • Periodic travel to corporate client headquarters is expected, estimated at one overnight trip per quarter.

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Pay Range: $101,200 – $151,800 USD
