Job summary

The University of Virginia invites applications for an Advancement Associate to join the School of Architecture’s development team in Charlottesville. This role provides administrative support, manages travel, expenses, data entry, reporting, and prepares materials for donor visits and events.

Reporting to the Director of Development, Architecture, the position uses Salesforce, Events Planner, and Tableau to support portfolio management and reporting, with a hybrid schedule and occasional

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree with three or more years of professional work experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials for donor visits and draft donor correspondence.
• Process expenses and reimbursements for development officers.
• Data entry and database management, including donor info and reports.
• Create and track events and generate reports with criteria from leadership.
• Support portfolio management and reporting using Salesforce CRM, Events (Planner), and Tableau.
• Manage scheduling and meeting coordination for the director and team.
• Prepare board meeting and event materials and provide event support.
• Generate and track stewardship reports and donor acknowledgments.
• Enter and track gift processing requests.
• Provide general office support including editing and calls.
• Other duties as assigned.
