Job summary

Central Piedmont Community College is seeking a Camp Instructor for Youth Central to deliver engaging, age-appropriate enrichment programs for 4th–12th graders. You will facilitate classroom activities, ensure a safe learning environment, and support program operations.

The role requires a degree or higher, 2+ years of teaching experience, strong organization and communication skills, and willingness to travel between CPCC campuses. Background check and camp compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher with proven subject-matter experience.
• Minimum 2+ years of middle/high school teaching experience; in school, after-school program or business settings.
• Strong organization, planning and communication skills.
• Self-starter who can work independently and in a team.
• Willing to travel to Central Piedmont campuses and pass a background check.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and email communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach compelling, age-appropriate, curriculum.
• Engage students in a fun and positive manner.
• Administrative preparation of camps.
• Organize student information and maintain accurate records for each camp session.
• Track dietary restrictions and allergies to ensure safety.
• Keep inventory of materials and communicate needs for purchases.
• Model professionalism and adhere to dress code and policies.
• Supervise students during drop-off, pick-up and camp time.
• Travel to CPCC campuses as needed; multi-task and resolve conflicts.
• Complete ongoing compliance training in a timely manner.
• Report concerns to the Assistant Director or Executive Director.
