Job summary

HNTB in Kansas City, MO is seeking a senior BIM leader to drive quality, processes, and collaboration on large infrastructure projects. You will champion BIM execution, coordinate clash detection, and advance modeling standards across multiple disciplines.

The role includes developing templates, training staff, and serving as a point of contact for clients on BIM-related aspects, ensuring rigorous QA/QC and consistent deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant BIM experience.
  • BIM Management experience in architectural/engineering/construction or related firms.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a project-level BIM quality and execution champion.
  • Investigate, evaluate, and develop best practices and project team workflows.
  • Review design 3D models and project data for quality, organization, and performance.
  • Administrate BIM 360 project site and related services.
  • Coordinate and facilitate clash detection, QA/QC, and auditing of design models across varied software.
  • Develop and maintain BIM Execution Plan documents and templates.
  • Lead regular multi-disciplinary BIM meetings.
  • Act as liaison between HNTB and the client on BIM aspects of the project.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce BIM standards, libraries, and templates.
  • Produce technical documentation of workflows and modeling techniques.
  • Provide advanced, complex Revit/BIM workflows support.
  • Develop staff through advanced skills training (computational design, geometry, etc.).

This opportunity entails being responsible for serving as a lead BIM and design technology resource at the project level. Works with project teams to outline technology objectives, requirements, and design and documentation approaches. Knowledgeable and proficient in current and emerging tools and workflows including Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Forma cloud collaboration, large project model coordination, clash detection, complex 3D modeling, database analysis, and model auditing.

In Architecture, BIM Managers support projects across all market sectors (Aviation, Sports, Transit, Interiors, and Strategic Facilities). This opportunity will start with support on large scale Sports Stadium projects.

What You\'ll Do:
  • Serves as a project-level champion of BIM quality and execution.
  • Investigates, evaluate, and develop best practices and project team workflows.
  • Reviews design 3D models and project data for quality, organization, and performance.
  • Administrates BIM 360 project site and associated services (BIM 360 Docs, Design, Model Coordination, Field, etc.)
  • Coordinates and facilitates clash detection, QA/QC, and auditing design models across varied model authoring software.
  • Develops and maintains project BIM Execution Plan documents and templates.
  • Lead regular multi-disciplinary project BIM meetings.
  • Acts as liaison between HNTB and the client on BIM-related aspects of the project.
  • Provides experienced and professional opinions, communications, and leadership related to BIM and technology to HNTB as well as to our clients and partners.
  • Investigates and informs best practices for large teams and large project modeling, documentation, file sharing, and QA/QC.
  • Facilitates the development, implementation, and enforcement of BIM and design technology standards, including content libraries and templates.
  • Produces technical documentation of existing, new, and alternative workflows and modeling techniques.
  • Serves as first line of support for advanced, complex Revit/BIM software workflows and modeling.
  • Responsible for development of staff, including advanced skills training for key employees or groups (computational design, complex geometry modeling, environmental analysis, etc.).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
What You\'ll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or relevant degree.
  • 5 years relevant experience
  • BIM Management at an Architectural, Engineering, Construction or related firm
