Job summary

Gray AES is seeking an Architectural Tech II to support design teams across our Atlanta, GA, Lexington, KY and Dallas, TX offices. The role focuses on creating architectural plans and coordinating with engineers and contractors to ensure design intent is realized.

A bachelor’s degree in Architecture with 2–5 years of experience is required, with Revit design experience highly preferred. Candidates must be physically present in a Gray office in the region and able to collaborate in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and 2 to 5 years of experience; or the equivalent combination of both education and experience.
• Experience designing in Revit is highly preferred and experience producing architectural drawings is required.
• Basic computer skills including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheets, design software and e-mail.
• Physically present in a Gray office.

Responsibilities

• Prepares architectural plans as directed by design managers and assists design managers in construction administration activities.
• Assists with layout of project and integrates engineering elements into unified design for customer review and approval.
• Prepares scale drawings and contract documents for customers, construction personnel, sub-consultants, and design-build subcontractors.
• May assist design managers in administration, review, and coordination of project submittals.
• May periodically assist design managers in conducting on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans.
• Prepares studies and reports.
• Prepares project designs and plans using computer assisted design software and equipment.
