Job summary

MG2, an affiliate of Colliers Engineering & Design, seeks an Architectural Staff (Level 1) to join the Client Programs Market in Irvine, CA. You will contribute to design development, technical documentation, and project coordination across multiple phases, collaborating with a skilled team on high-impact projects.

The role emphasizes gaining expertise, applying knowledge to increasingly complex tasks, and delivering quality contract deliverables while supporting design intent and budget

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a professional architecture or design firm.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of project design, documentation, and delivery standards.
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
  • Some experience with design and visualization tools including Sketch-Up, Adobe Creative Suite, Affinity, and Enscape.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the production of contract deliverables including field surveys, design drawings, construction documents, exhibits, and specifications. Primary focus is on project coordination, detailing, and adherence to MG2 and/or client specific production standards.
  • Provide administrative support for project teams, including creating meeting agendas and minutes, updating project trackers, completing permit applications or checklists, maintaining RFI and submittal logs, and generating various types of project reports.
  • Assist with code research and feasibility studies including coordinating directly with AHJ representatives.
  • Actively participate in the production and coordination of deliverables during construction administration. This may include conducting site visits, generating field reports, reviewing RFIs and submittals, and active participation in OAC meetings.
  • Produce accurate and timely work in accordance with weekly workplans and direction given. Work should demonstrate understanding of design intent and comprehension of project budget.

Overview

MG2, an affiliate of Colliers Engineering & Design, is looking for a motivated Architectural Staff (Level 1) to join our Client Programs Market team in Irvine, CA!

In this role, you'll have the chance to be part of global and national building programs that are transforming industries. Within our Client Programs (CP) Market, you'll gain hands-on experience across all phases of design and delivery, working alongside talented professionals while contributing to high-impact projects.

The emphasis in this role is on gaining expertise and applying knowledge to more complicated projects and/or new responsibilities related to architectural design, technical documentation, and project coordination. Individuals must be detail oriented and highly collaborative.

Compensation: $67,000 to $78,000 per year (depending on qualifications)
