Job summary

The Suddath Companies seeks an Architectural Solutions Leader who will build long-term relationships with architects, designers, and developers and act as a trusted advisor across design, construction, and business development. You will steer project specifications, lead solution discussions, and demonstrate expertise in demountable walls, prefabricated interiors, and modular construction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or minimum 7+ years of experience in architectural products, commercial interiors, architecture, construction, or related industries.
  • Experience with Falkbuilt, DIRTT, Teknion, Haworth Enclose, Steelcase Walls, Allsteel Beyond Walls, or similar solutions preferred.
  • Experience conducting architectural presentations and specification development preferred.

  • Develop and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with architects, interior designers, contractors, developers, brokers, owners, and end users.
  • Serve as the primary external representative for the architectural business, creating confidence in the company’s expertise, solutions, and execution capabilities.
  • Influence project specifications through education, consultation, and early design involvement.
  • Lead discovery meetings, need assessments, and solution-development discussions.
  • Provide technical guidance on prefabricated construction systems and project applications.
  • Deliver presentations, CEUs, product demonstrations, and thought‑leadership sessions.
  • Collaborate with estimating, design, and project teams to develop winning solutions.
  • Represent the company at industry associations, networking events, and market functions.
  • Share competitive intelligence, market trends, and client feedback with leadership.

General position summary:

The Architectural Solutions Leader serves as the face of the company’s architectural business, responsible for building long-lasting relationships with architects, designers, contractors, developers, brokers, owners, and end users. This role acts as a trusted advisor—connecting design intent, construction knowledge, and business outcomes to create demand for prefabricated interior construction and architectural product solutions. Reporting to the Director of Account Management & Sales Operations, this position bridges architecture, design, construction, and business development to expand the company’s presence within the architectural, design, real estate, and construction communities. This position leads through expertise and influence—creating demand, shaping design decisions, and providing technical leadership during the pursuit and preconstruction phases. The ideal candidate combines strong construction and design knowledge with consultative sales ability and experience in demountable walls, prefabricated interiors, modular construction, DIRTT, Falkbuilt, or related architectural solutions.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or minimum 7+ years of experience in architectural products, commercial interiors, architecture, construction, or related industries.

  • Experience with Falkbuilt, DIRTT, Teknion, Haworth Enclose, Steelcase Walls, Allsteel Beyond Walls, or similar solutions preferred.
  • Experience conducting architectural presentations and specification development preferred.
  • Knowledge of workplace strategy, healthcare, education, and commercial office environments preferred.

Language Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively with architects, designers, contractors, developers, owners, end users, and internal project teams. Ability to prepare and deliver professional presentations, product demonstrations, CEUs, and project-related communications. Ability to read, interpret, and discuss architectural drawings, specifications, proposals, and construction-related documentation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence design decisions and build client confidence.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate basic project-related figures, including quantities, square footage, percentages, pricing adjustments, and budget estimates. Ability to understand and apply basic geometry and measurements used in space planning, construction layouts, and architectural product applications.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to evaluate client needs, project requirements, design intent, and technical constraints to recommend appropriate architectural product solutions. Ability to interpret written, verbal diagram, schedule, and specification-based information to support solution development and early project planning.

Computer Operations:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to effectively use CRM, presentation, construction technology, and design-related platforms such as BIM, Revit, or similar tools used to support business development, presentations, specifications, and project coordination.

Planning/Organization:

Ability to manage multiple client relationships, project pursuits, presentations, and internal coordination activities simultaneously. Ability to prioritize opportunities, follow up on project leads, meet deadlines, and organize work to support business development and preconstruction efforts.
