Job summary

Signtech is seeking an Architectural Designer / Production Artist to join a creative, fast-paced manufacturing environment in San Diego. The role blends architectural drawing interpretation with production-ready sign design using CorelDRAW, with training provided in sign-design standards and fabrication methods.

Qualifications

• Ability to read architectural plans, elevations and construction docs.
• Proficiency in CorelDRAW or similar graphic design software.
• Experience reading elevations, sections, details & technical drawings.
• Strong layout, typography and graphic-design skills.
• Image/photo-retouching experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
• Typing speed of 30–35 wpm.
• Positive attitude and teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret architectural plans, blueprints, elevations, and construction documents.
• Create detailed electrical sign design drawings, elevations, sections, layouts, and production artwork.
• Use CorelDRAW to prepare accurate, production-ready design files.
• Retouch, manipulate, and enhance photographs and digital images.
• Review drawings, dimensions, specifications, and artwork for accuracy.
• Work closely with project management, engineering, fabrication, and production teams.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a friendly, fast-paced environment.
• Learn electrical sign-design standards, fabrication methods, materials, and installation requirements.
