SCOPE OF POSITION:

Responsible for growing sales by creating demand through specifications & developing, strengthening, and expanding relationships with architects, designers, GCs, subcontractors, and engineers as necessary.

  • Identify, qualify, and develop project leads to build a pipeline of opportunities within the territory.
  • Create specification volume that meets or exceeds sales targets.

This position covers the Atlanta territory. While remote, the candidate must reside within 45 minutes of Atlanta's center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate, increase, and improve CS basis of design specifications in the assigned territory, tracking and closing deals to drive sales and margin. Support strategic projects outside the territory as needed.
  • Engage early in project design and track projects in CRM from bidding to closure.
  • Identify, qualify, and convert new project leads into CRM and pipeline.
  • Track promotional projects and bid/track/close opportunities for the next 12 months.
  • Use CRM consistently to capture accounts, contacts, and activities.
  • Influence design choices with key project influencers to specify CS solutions that meet customer needs and differentiate CS.
  • Leverage CS's strengths over competitors throughout the sales process.
  • Update and create/modify architect specifications to expand CS's market share.
  • Assist architects and design community with specifications as needed.
  • Collaborate with local representatives on target projects and expand coverage.
  • Build and grow relationships within the architectural and design community, including contractors and engineers.
  • Recommend product solutions and service improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and sales potential.
  • Utilize CS team resources effectively for product sales within responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with installation practices and procedures.
  • Align CS's value propositions with customer and project needs to differentiate from competitors.

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in construction, contracting, or related industry.
  • Strong willingness for applied learning.
