Job summary

Apogee Architectural Partners is seeking an Architectural Rendering Specialist to develop accurate 3D models, renderings, and presentation materials for internal and client use. You will collaborate with architects and designers to translate design concepts into compelling visuals and maintain consistency with client standards.

The role requires strong proficiency in SketchUp and rendering tools (D5 Render, Lumion, Photoshop, InDesign) and a portfolio demonstrating architectural visualization

Qualifications

• Background in Architectural/Interior/Graphic Design or related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; or equivalent professional experience may be considered.

Job description

The Architectural Rendering Specialist is responsible for the development of architectural models, renderings, visual presentations, and other graphic materials used to communicate and present architectural design concepts. This position works closely with the architectural and design teams to transform design concepts and construction information into high-quality, realistic visualizations for internal review, client presentations, marketing, and project development.

The Architectural Rendering Specialist will support multiple projects throughout various stages of design and will be responsible for maintaining consistency with established client standards, project design intent, and company presentation standards.

Relationships

The Architectural Rendering Specialist works closely with the Client Manager, Project Managers, Architects, and Designers of the project team to develop and deliver architectural visualizations and presentation materials.

The position will coordinate with project team members to understand design intent, project requirements, materials, finishes, branding, and other elements necessary to produce accurate and compelling architectural imagery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop accurate 3D architectural models in various software programs based on design concept and or architectural drawings, plans, elevations, and photographs.
• Create high-quality architectural renderings for new and existing projects utilizing different software.
• Apply appropriate materials, textures, lighting, landscaping, entourage, and environmental elements to create realistic and visually compelling renderings.
• Maintain accuracy between the architectural design documents and rendered imagery.
• Combine rendered imagery with photographs, site conditions, backgrounds, landscaping, people, vehicles, and other visual elements.
• Perform color correction, lighting adjustments, material enhancements, image cleanup, and other post-production tasks.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools and enhancements when appropriate to improve the quality and realism of rendered imagery.
• Maintain a consistent visual style and quality across project renderings and presentations.
• Prepare architectural presentation packages and visual materials using Adobe InDesign.
• Organize renderings, plans, elevations, diagrams, material imagery, photographs, and other project information into professional presentation layouts.
• Create presentation and material board boards as requested
• Knowledge of architectural standards and construction documents to be able to help produce presentation documents
• Maintain a high level of visual quality and attention to detail in all renderings and presentation materials.
• Review completed renderings and presentations for accuracy, consistency, and overall quality before distribution.
• Help establish and maintain standardized workflows, templates, libraries, materials, entourage, and rendering resources.
• Stay current with advancements in architectural visualization, rendering technology, AI-assisted visualization, and graphic presentation techniques.

Software Requirements

• SketchUp – 3D architectural modeling and development of project models.
• D5 Render – Primary rendering platform for new projects.
• Lumion – Rendering and visualization of projects.
• Adobe Photoshop – Rendering post-production, image editing, compositing, and AI-assisted enhancements.
• Adobe InDesign – Presentation layouts and packaging of project imagery and design materials.
• Adobe Illustrator – Logo extraction, graphic manipulation, and preparation of artwork for architectural signage.
• AutoCAD – Ability to work with DWG files and prepare/import graphic elements for 3D modelling is preferred.

Qualifications

• Architectural, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Visualization, or related design background.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; or equivalent professional experience may be considered.
• Strong 3D modeling and architectural visualization skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in SketchUp and other architectural rendering software.
• Strong knowledge of Photoshop and image compositing techniques.
• Experience creating professional architectural presentations.
• Understanding architectural drawings, plans, elevations, and design documentation.
• Experience with AI-assisted image enhancement and visualization tools is preferred.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software, technologies, and project workflows

Work Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in architectural visualization, 3D modeling, architectural design, interior design, graphic design, or a related field preferred.
• Demonstrated portfolio of architectural renderings, 3D models, image compositing, and/or presentation graphics required.
• Experience working with multiple projects in various phases and meeting established production deadlines
