MG2 Design in New York, NY seeks an Architectural Project Manager for Food & Beverage who will lead projects from design through construction, overseeing schedules, budgets, contracts and client communications to ensure design excellence.

Required: 8+ years in architecture or design, Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD, MS Office; experience with Bluebeam, Miro, Teams; programmatic/rollout Food & Beverage experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in a professional architecture or design firm.

• Certification as a licensed professional preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams through all project phases, ensuring deliverables meet contract, schedule, and MG2 quality standards.
• Ensure contracts are in place before commencing contract deliverables.
• Create and maintain milestone-based project schedules and staffing plans.
• Develop detailed Project Charters including QA/QC plans for all work.
• Assist with development of proposals and RFP responses as needed.
• Monitor financial status and perform intermediate financial reviews with leads or PIC.
• Review monthly invoicing and consultant billing.
• Produce weekly updates for stakeholders and lead internal/external project meetings.
• Oversee Construction Administration activities and site reviews.

Overview

MG2, an affiliate of Colliers Engineering & Design is currently looking for a Architectural Project Manager - Food & Beverage to join our team in our New York, NY office! You will be working in our Consumer Experiences (CX) Market, where you will have the opportunity to design and deliver on various types of fast-moving retail and Food & Beverage projects that anticipate the needs and lifestyle shifts of evolving users. Our new Architectural Project Manager will lead project teams through all phases of project execution including contract management, design, documentation, permitting, and construction administration. They are also responsible for managing project schedules, and the financial performance of the work. Externally they focus on building strong client relationships, and upholding MG2s standard for design excellence while serving as the main point of contact for all project related communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage project teams through all project phases. Primary responsibility is ensuring project deliverables are aligned with the contract, completed in conformance with the project schedule and budget, and continually meet MG2 standards for quality.
• Ensure required contracts are in place prior to beginning execution of contract deliverables.
• Create and maintain accurate milestone-based project schedules and staffing workplans.
• Create and maintain detailed Project Charters including a comprehensive QA/QC plan for all project work.
• Assist with the development of project proposals and RFP responses as requested.
• Continuously monitor project financial status and complete intermediate financial reviews with Team Leads or Principal-in-Charge (PIC).
• Review monthly project invoicing and consultant billing.
• Produce weekly project updates, including documentation regarding contract deliverables, financial updates, contracts, and permitting reports. Issue weekly project updates to all project stakeholders.
• Lead or direct all internal and external project team meetings.
• Actively participate in all Quality Control procedures including review of all externally distributed project deliverables.
• Oversee all team activities during Construction Administration including weekly reviews of RFI and Submittal logs and attendance during project OAC meetings.
• Additional responsibilities include detailed review of all site visit reports and punch lists prior to issuance.
• Host both internal and external project debrief meetings following completion of construction activities; focus on opportunities to continuously improve service level and results.
• Initiate project-close out procedures following substantial completion; finalize in alignment with contractual obligations.
• Manage internal and external resources; ensure consistent quality and project profitability.
• Continuously manage the performance of team members; consistently provide accurate and relevant feedback as needed.
• Perform monthly 1:1 check-ins with all internal team members. (People Managers Only).
• Conduct mid-year and year-end performance reviews (People Managers Only).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in a professional architecture or design firm.
• Programmatic/rollout Food & Beverage experience preferred.
• Certification as a license professional preferred.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams through all phases of milestone-based project delivery.
• Basic knowledge of architectural contracts and contract execution procedures.
• Proficiency with Revit, Auto-CAD, and MS Office.
• Demonstrated expertise utilizing collaboration software such as Bluebeam, Miro, and Teams.
• Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Compensation: $90,000 to $125,000 per year (depending on qualifications)
