Job summary

Primer is seeking an experienced architectural project manager to stand up new campuses quickly, turning empty spaces into prime learning environments. You’ll lead feasibility, permitting, budgeting, and the development of standards that others will reuse across sites.

You’ll coordinate engineers, architects, and inspectors, manage multiple projects at once, and drive value-engineering decisions that preserve the student experience while controlling costs. Join a mission-first team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in architectural project management, interior design, or similar with ownership from design through construction.
• Experience creating design standards for multi-location rollout.
• Background in schools, retail, or hospitality spaces.
• Deep knowledge of building codes, ADA, fire life safety, zoning, and permitting across jurisdictions.
• Fluency in 3D modeling software and Adobe Creative Cloud; comfortable with project management tools like Asana.

Responsibilities

• Lead site feasibility, pre-construction, code analysis, and go/no-go decisions.
• Manage permitting across jurisdictions and coordinate engineers, inspectors, and architects.
• Specify FF&E and product standards for every Primer campus; build vendor catalogs and value engineering wins.
