D.R. Horton is seeking an Architectural Plans Supervisor for WA to oversee residential plan development and coordinating with outside architects and engineers. The role involves ensuring code compliance, managing plan changes, and working with municipal design approvals.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 2–4 years of relevant experience, with CAD proficiency and strong attention to detail. Typical benefits apply as part of a Fortune 500 homebuilder.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university is required.
• Two to four years of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form or via DRH applications.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.
• Knowledge of CAD and other drafting programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage outside architects and engineers in development of new plans and product implementation as directed by senior management.
• Coordinate with municipalities to ensure timely approvals on construction documents, plans and revisions.
• Draft and document correspondence to architects, engineers, and manufacturers for plan corrections.
• Coordinate plan changes with job site personnel and other departments.
• Collaborate with planning staff to ensure timely design review approvals and submittals.
• Create and update forecasting schedules and maintain multiple project schedules.
• Review plans for building code compliance and for project value engineering.
