Job summary

TCA Architects in Irvine is seeking an Architectural Job Captain to lead design development and prepare construction documents for multifamily and mixed-use projects. The role requires strong Revit skills and a solid understanding of building materials and construction techniques.

Hybrid schedule in Irvine offices (Mon-Wed in-office, Thu-Fri remote). Eligible candidates should have 4–6 years of architectural experience, including Revit, and be on track to licensure in California.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–6 years architectural experience, with 2–4 years in multifamily projects.
• Minimum 4–6 years of Revit experience.
• Minimum 2 years of construction administration experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Building Construction Types I, III, and V.
• Strong understanding of the IBC, CBC, and disabled access requirements.
• Good understanding of consultant drawings and systems.
• Ability to hand-sketch details prior to producing Revit drawings.
• Excellent organizational skills.

A TCA Job Captain is responsible for design development, construction document preparation, and team coordination on multifamily and mixed-use projects. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Revit and knowledgeable about building materials, related construction techniques, and general construction types.

Position Location:

The Job Captain will work in our Irvine office. We offer a hybrid schedule, with employees working in the office Monday through Wednesday and from home on Thursday and Friday.

Salary Range:

$75,000 - $115,000
