Job summary

Fishbeck is seeking a Creative Architectural Intern for Summer 2027 in Grand Rapids, MI or Farmington Hills, MI. You’ll work with experienced architects on diverse projects, and gain hands-on mentorship in design, drafting, and documentation.

You’ll learn software like Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and InDesign while contributing to real project teams. This is an opportunity to apply classroom learning in a collaborative, mentored setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Architecture degree at an accredited university.
• Familiarity with Revit and SketchUp preferred.
• Strong interest in architectural design and the built environment.
• Creative thinker with strong design and presentation skills; communicates clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development of architectural concepts, design presentations, and construction documents.
• Support project teams with building design, drafting, and documentation.
• Research materials, products, and design solutions to support projects.

We're looking for a creative and motivated Architectural Intern to join our team for Summer 2027! Based in either our Grand Rapids or Farmington Hills office, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced architects and engineers on a variety of exciting projects, including entertainment, municipal, and commercial developments.

This is a great opportunity to apply what you've learned in the classroom, develop your technical and design skills, and gain real‑world experience in a collaborative environment.

What You'll Do

• Assist with the development of architectural concepts, design presentations, and construction documents.
• Support project teams with building design, drafting, and documentation.
• Research building materials, products, and design solutions to support project development.
• Utilize Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, and other design software.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals across multiple disciplines.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute creative ideas and solutions.
• Gain exposure to various phases of architectural design and project execution.
• Learn from experienced professionals through hands‑on mentorship and project involvement.
