Job summary

Fishbeck is seeking an Architectural Intern for Summer 2027. Based in Grand Rapids or Farmington Hills, you’ll collaborate with experienced architects and engineers on a range of projects including entertainment, municipal, and commercial developments.

This internship offers hands-on mentorship, exposure to multiple phases of design, and opportunities to develop technical and presentation skills. You’ll gain real-world experience in a collaborative environment, with guidance from professionals

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
• Familiarity with Revit and SketchUp preferred.
• Strong interest in architectural design and the built environment.
• Creative thinking and strong design and presentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A self-motivated, enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to collaborate with others, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development of architectural concepts, design presentations, and construction documents.
• Support project teams with building design, drafting, and documentation.
• Research building materials, products, and design solutions to support project development.
• Utilize Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, and other design software.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals across multiple disciplines.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute creative ideas and solutions.
• Gain exposure to various phases of architectural design and project execution.
• Learn from experienced professionals through hands-on mentorship and project involvement.

We're looking for a creative and motivated Architectural Intern to join our team for Summer 2027! Based in either our Grand Rapids or Farmington Hills office, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced architects and engineers on a variety of exciting projects, including entertainment, municipal, and commercial developments.
