Job summary

CRB is seeking an Architectural Intern to join our Kansas City team. You’ll work under a mentor to develop deliverables, assist with 3D modeling, field investigations, and production of drawings in line with CRB’s VDC standards.

You'll gain hands-on experience on multiple projects, collaborate with experienced staff, and contribute to floor plans, elevations, schedules, and installation details while expanding your architectural knowledge in a real-world setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote).
• Interest in the Food & Beverage or Life Sciences industry strongly preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop actionable insights.
• Must be willing to communicate and collaborate with multiple disciplines and other internal and external stakeholders (vendors, clients and contractors).
• Eagerness to learn about the AEC industry and apply academic knowledge to real-world engineering applications.

Responsibilities

• Developing project documents (e.g., calculations, reports, construction drawings and specifications, etc.) for clients in coordination with regulatory bodies and industry standards.
• Assisting with development of conceptual designs and coordinating with the design team under direction of the project team lead.
• Coordinating with other disciplines and other internal and external team members (e.g., vendors, clients, and contractors).
