Job summary

Planworx Architecture is seeking an Architectural Intern to join our Raleigh team. This role is ideal for a motivated recent graduate who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative professional environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of professional architectural office experience (5 years preferred).
• Strong in-office knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD required.
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office a plus.
• Proven graphic, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and take direction well.
• Interest in multifamily, mixed-use, commercial, planning, renovation, and community-focused design.

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams with schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
• Prepare, maintain, and update drawings, details, schedules, and models under supervision.
• Support 3D modeling, visualization, rendering, and graphic production for reviews and client presentations.
• Coordinate with team members to advance project deliverables accurately and efficiently.
• Research materials, code requirements, zoning, product information, and precedent imagery.
• Participate in project meetings, reviews, site observations, and coordination discussions.
• Apply markups and revisions to drawings while learning construction systems and workflows.
• Contribute to a positive studio culture through curiosity, professionalism, and teamwork.
