Job summary

The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for one or more full-time, professional-track teaching faculty or Professor of Practice positions in architectural engineering. Successful candidates will teach undergraduate courses, advise students, and contribute to service and committee work, preferably with construction or design industry experience and a doctoral degree in related fields.

Licensure as a PE or CCM, or equivalent, is preferred; master’s degree with relevant industry

Qualifications

• PhD in architectural engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field required or anticipated by appointment.
• Significant construction industry or design experience preferred.
• Licensed PE or CCM or equivalent qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses and, if qualified, graduate courses in AE disciplines.
• Advise students and contribute to department service and committees.
• Engage in teaching and outreach activities aligned with Penn State AE programs.
