Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor degree in architecture or related field.
• ADDA certification preferred.
• Prior experience as architectural draftsman in custom homes.
• Advanced proficiency using Revit is required.
• Knowledge of building design, codes and structural concepts.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze building specifications, codes, and sites.
• Create technical drawings from sketches and specifications.
• Use software to create drawings with exact measurements and codes.
• Produce drawing schematics for architects and engineers.
• Enter data into BIM systems to generate 3-D models.
• Prepare drawings and records with CAD and drafting techniques.
• Visit construction sites to take measurements as needed.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure compliance.
• Keep up with developments in architectural design.
• Draft and finalize design plans using appropriate methods.
• Translate concepts to design drawings.
• Manage production of drawing sets from creation to modification.
• Review completed work to ensure quality.
