Overview

Architectural Drafter/Designer, you will play a critical role in the design and drafting process for custom homes. You will work closely with architects, project managers, and clients to develop detailed architectural drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with building codes and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed architectural drawings, plans, elevations, and sections for custom residential projects.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, and project managers to refine design concepts.
  • Revise drawings based on client feedback and field conditions.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with local building codes and regulations.
  • Assist in creating construction documents and material specifications.
  • Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and vendors as needed.
  • Utilize CAD and BIM software to produce precise and efficient drawings.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as an Architectural Drafter or Designer, preferably in custom residential construction
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar drafting/design software.
  • Strong understanding of architectural and construction principles
  • Knowledge of local building codes and permitting processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret sketches, blueprints, and specifications accurately.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree or certification in Architectural Drafting, Design, or related field.
  • Experience working with custom home builders or in residential architecture.
