KPMB Architects seeks a Designer (Level 1) to join the Cambridge, MA team. You will support design concepts, drawings, and technical documentation under senior supervision, contributing to high-quality architectural solutions with a collaborative and detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in architectural studies.
• Up to 2 years of experience in an architectural design role.
• Working proficiency in Revit, BIM programs, Bluebeam, MS Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, and 3D visualization software.
• Foundational skills in producing working drawings and renderings.
• Familiarity with MSBC and ICC.

Responsibilities

• Assist in producing detailed technical drawings using Revit and 3D models using Rhino.
• Apply foundational knowledge of building technology, assembly, construction methodology, and materials.
• Incorporate building codes and architectural standards into design documentation with supervision.
• Support development of design layouts through research and spatial analysis.
• Revise drawings based on feedback and field measurements; document site conditions.
• Follow BIM standards and participate in design discussions with senior team members.
• Demonstrate openness to feedback and proactively seek guidance from project leads.
