Job summary

CRB is seeking an Architectural Designer to join our team. You will work under the supervision of the Architect of Record, supporting 3D modeling, documentation, and field investigations on a variety of architectural assignments.

You will collaborate with architectural, engineering and construction staff to develop coordinated designs, perform reviews for CRB standards, and contribute to studies and reports. A degree in architecture and 3+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Accredited architecture degree preferred or international equivalent.
• Minimum three years professional experience.
• Associate degree or technical certification acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Generate design and construction models and documentation using BIM software (Revit).
• Produce drawings from staff markups and ensure compliance with CRB standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and construction staff for coordinated designs.
• Assist with field investigations and information gathering.
• Participate in drawing reviews, coordination meetings and quality checks.
• Assist in development of studies, presentations and reports.

The Architectural Designer performs their job functions under the supervision of a project’s ArchitectofRecord.Responsibilitiesinclude assisting with 3D modeling and design, conducting field investigations, and producing disciplinespecificdeliverables.The Designer will work on a variety of architectural assignments,including initial programming, planning, scope and concept development and construction documentation. Close coordinationwith architectural,engineeringand constructionstaffwill be neededto ensure assignments are completed accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Generate design and construction models and associated documentation, including floor and ceiling plans, elevations, sections and details utilizing Revit or other BIM software.
• Generate drawings based on markups provided by Architectural staff.
• Perform drawing reviews to confirm compliance with CRB Documentation Standards.
• Work closely with Engineering and Construction personnel to develop and ensure coordinated designs.
• Assist with field investigations and information gathering
• Participate and contribute during drawing reviews, coordination meetings and quality checks.
• Assist in developmentand generation ofstudies, presentations and reports.

• Accredited Professional Degree in Architecture (B.Arch,M.Arch, and/orD.Arch) or Canadian / International equivalent)preferred
• Applicable Associate Degree or Technical Trade School Certification accepted
• Minimum three years professional experience.

PreferredQualifications

• Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office suite
• Experience withEnscape, Navisworks and AutoCAD
• Flexibility for moderate travel in support of project-based or training activities
• LEED Accreditation, WELL Certification or similar sustainability credentials
• Experience developing, coordinating andexecuting architectural design and documentation
• Knowledge of,and/or experience with advanced technology industry projectsincludingR&D labs, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, food & nutrition and/or consumer products
