Rockford Construction Co. in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an Architectural Designer I to support the design/build process through drafting, modeling, and rendering while assisting with design development and project documentation.

Responsibilities include gathering field measurements, preparing design concepts, and collaborating with project teams to develop creative, functional solutions. Client and consultant discussions may be involved to discuss project requirements.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of experience in architecture or related field.
• A bachelor’s degree in architecture or related field is required.
• Autodesk Revit software experience is required.
• Strong creative and visualization skills are essential.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Attention to detail and organized approach are required.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word & Outlook) is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist project lead in organizing project documents – drawings, renderings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Update design and check drawings accuracy.
• Gather information needed to complete accurate drawings.
• Review project scope and contract for professional services; perform other duties as assigned.
