Job summary

Woolpert is hiring an Architectural Designer to join our Charlotte, NC Architecture team. This role reports to the Architectural Team Leader and will work on design development, presentation drawings, specifications, design reviews, and coordination of construction drawings.

The candidate should have a 5-year degree in architecture with licensure preferred, LEED preferred, and 3+ years of experience designing complex facilities.

Qualifications

• 5-year bachelor's or master's degree in architecture.
• Architectural License preferred
• LEED certification is preferred.
• 3 or more years of job-related experience, preferably in the design of complex facilities.
• Demonstrated experience using AutoCAD, REVIT, Sketchup, and PhotoShop software.
• Demonstrated ability to engage effectively and confidently with diverse personalities and communication styles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
• Time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare schematics, design development and construction documents. Develop, modify and review production drawings and edit project narratives and specifications.
• Research materials to determine appropriate selection for project.
• Plan, coordinate and administer projects from the initial programming stages all the way through to construction administration.
• Review construction submittals and assist project manager in construction administration.
• Analyze client problems and develop architectural solutions to those problems.
