Job summary

Stella Contracting, Inc. is seeking an Architectural Designer to turn concepts into practical, visually compelling, and technically sound architectural solutions.

You will work with the Design Manager and Project Director, collaborating with architects, engineers, project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the design and documentation process. The role emphasizes developing drawings and BIM models, coordinating with disciplines, and contributing to permit and construction

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Design, or related discipline.
  • 2-5 years of relevant architectural design experience (internships included).
  • Strong proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD.
  • Experience developing architectural drawings and construction documentation.
  • Understanding of building materials, construction methods, and architectural detailing.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong visual, creative, technical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines.
  • Experience with commercial, institutional, healthcare, residential, or other complex building projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop architectural concepts, layouts, floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and presentation materials.
  • Produce accurate architectural drawings and 3D/BIM models using Revit, AutoCAD, or comparable design software.
  • Assist with schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
  • Coordinate architectural drawings and models with structural, mechanical, electrical, and other disciplines.
  • Review drawings and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Assist with material, finish, fixture, and equipment selections.
  • Incorporate feedback from clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and project leadership.
  • Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings, and project discussions.
  • Assist with preparation of permit and construction documentation.
  • Support project teams in resolving design and documentation issues.
  • Maintain organized project files and ensure drawings are updated throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist with site visits and field verification when required.
