Job summary

Stella Contracting, Inc. in Milwaukee, WI seeks an Architectural Designer to turn concepts into practical, visually compelling and technically sound architectural solutions.

You will work with the Design Manager and Project Director, coordinating with architects, engineers, project managers and contractors. The role emphasizes producing drawings, BIM models, and construction documentation, with opportunities to work on multidisciplinary projects and advance Revit/BIM skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field is preferred.
• 2–5 years of architectural design experience preferred (internships included).
• Strong proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD.
• Experience developing architectural drawings and construction documentation.
• Understanding of building materials, construction methods, and detailing.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong visual, creative, technical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Experience on commercial, institutional, healthcare, residential, or complex projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop architectural concepts, layouts, floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and presentation materials.
• Produce accurate drawings and 3D/BIM models using Revit, AutoCAD, or equivalent software.
• Assist with schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
• Coordinate drawings and models with structural, mechanical, electrical, and other disciplines.
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Assist with material, finish, fixture, and equipment selections.
• Incorporate client and project leadership feedback.
• Participate in design reviews and coordination meetings.
• Prepare permit and construction documentation.
• Support teams in resolving design and documentation issues.
• Maintain organized project files and updated drawings throughout lifecycle.
• Assist with site visits and field verification when required.

Key Responsibilities

• 2- 2-5 years of relevant architectural design experience preferred (internships included).
• 3- Strong proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD.
