Job description

Work Arrangement: In-office - minimum 2 days per week in our office, up to 3 days remote

About Us

Studio Katsibas Architecture is a Los Angeles and London based architecture firm in its third year, founded on nearly a decade of experience building successful architecture practices in both California and the UK. We specialize in commercial, hospitality, and high-end residential projects in both cities.

We have a strong book of current projects and a healthy pipeline of future work, much of it from repeat clients. We're in a growth phase and looking to expand from our current team of three to five architects within the next 12 months. This is an opportunity to join early and help shape the practice as we grow.

What Sets Us Apart

Excellent design and great ideas are fundamental to what we do, but what sets us apart is our commitment to exceptional client service. Our clients choose us, and come back to us, because we deliver high-quality work with a ‘right first time, every time’ mentality. We're responsive, proactive, and relentless about keeping projects moving forward. This means actively managing consultants to meet deadlines, anticipating client needs before they ask, and taking ownership of the entire project experience.

If you take pride in producing high-quality work, in being responsive, and solution-oriented - if you understand that great architecture is as much about how you deliver it as what you deliver - you'll thrive here.

The Role

We’re looking to hire an Architectural Designer with around 2 years of professional experience to support technical design and project delivery across residential and commercial projects. You’ll work closely with Project Architects and Principals on active projects in Los Angeles and London, contributing to drawing production, detailing, consultant coordination, and permitting tasks. This is a hands-on role for someone who is technically curious, detail-oriented, and ready to take on increasing responsibility as they grow.

What You’ll Do
  • Produce drawings and documentation across project phases using Revit
  • Support preparation of planning and permit sets
  • Assist with zoning and code research under guidance of senior staff
  • Coordinate with structural, MEP, civil, and other consultants as directed
  • Develop construction details and drawing packages
  • Incorporate redlines and feedback efficiently and accurately
  • Assist with responses to plan check comments and RFIs
  • Support construction administration tasks as needed
  • Participate in internal design reviews and technical discussions
  • Learn firm standards, documentation workflows, and best practices
What You Bring
  • Around 2 years of professional architectural experience
  • Professional degree in Architecture
  • Licensure is not required for this role
  • Solid working knowledge of Revit
  • Experience producing drawing sets for planning, permitting, or construction
  • Familiarity with the California Building Code
  • Strong attention to detail and drawing accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with supervision
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow into greater responsibility
  • Minimum 2 days per week in our Los Angeles office (non-negotiable), up to 3 days remote. This role is not fully remote. Candidates seeking fully remote work should not apply.
  • Private office at Industrious (premium flexible working space with complimentary food, snacks, drinks, and regular community events)
  • Trans-Atlantic practice: work on projects in both LA and London with opportunities for international travel
  • Collaborative studio-based environment, including a dog-friendly office (friendly golden retriever on site)
  • Direct interaction with Principals and clients
  • Salary $65,000 - $75,000, depending on experience
  • Medical and dental insurance
  • 401(k) company plan with employer match
