Job summary

INFOTRAN Engineers & Architects in East Orange, NJ is seeking an Architectural Designer II to join our Architecture Department. The role focuses on transportation infrastructure and complex projects, collaborating with project architects and engineers from planning through construction.

You will work on BIM models, prepare drawings, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure code compliance and quality across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture.
• 5–10 years of professional architectural experience.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of building codes and ADA requirements.
• Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare architectural drawings and construction documents using Revit and/or AutoCAD.
• Develop BIM models and coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Participate in planning, programming, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
• Coordinate with structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and specialty consultants.
• Perform field investigations, existing conditions surveys, and site observations.
• Assist with technical reports, code reviews, and architectural studies.
• Support construction administration by reviewing RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Participate in internal QA/QC reviews.
• Coordinate directly with clients, consultants, contractors, and public agencies.

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Designer II to join our expanding Architecture Department.

What You’ll Do

As an Architectural Designer, you will work closely with Project Architects, Engineers, and Principals throughout every phase of project delivery.
