Job summary

BRR Architecture is seeking an Architectural Design Staff member to contribute to the design, coordination, and production of construction documents for retail, commercial, and multi-family projects in a team-based environment.

The role focuses on architectural research, design development, and program-wide implementation efforts, with collaboration across MEPF and structural disciplines, and client presentations.

Qualifications

• Must hold a professional accredited degree in Architecture.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and presentation skills are essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate materials, building products, constructability and processes.
• Produce detailed construction documents for projects.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Refrigeration and Structural disciplines.
• Develop and assist in client and peer presentations.
• Attend project and studio meetings.
• Build, develop, and maintain client relations.
• Assist in problem solving of production issues.
• Review architectural designs, production documents, and construction change directives.
• Conduct site scopes, observation trips, and generate field reports.

Architectural Design Staff contribute to the overall team and assigned program in coordinating, scheduling, evaluating and developing processes to improve production efficiencies through the effective management of projects and tasks. They will assist in architectural research, document/design development, and program-wide implementation efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

• Professional accredited degree in Architecture.
• Licensure not required.
• Must have the capacity to understand and communicate complex issues that involve the functional and aesthetic areas of architecture.
• Ability to engage in creative and critical thought and able to graphically communicate concepts and ideas to others effectively.
• Desire to work in a team-oriented, fast paced environment.
• Ability to assist in architectural research, document/design development, peer consultation and program-wide implementation efforts.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to confidentiality and sensitivity of information.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and presentation skills.
• Must be able to work well with all levels of teammates.
• Intermediate to Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Computer software knowledge, skills in Revit and AutoCAD are critical. Drive to research and utilize technology in architectural applications.

In CA the standard base pay range for this role is $66,500- $73,000 annually. This base pay range is specific to CA and may not be applicable to other locations. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. BRR pay and benefits can vary by location, number of regularly scheduled hours worked, length of employment and employment status.
