Job description

Work from home position located in Dallas, Texas. The estimated base salary range for this role is $75,000 to $105,000 per year. Individual pay is based upon location, skills, expertise, experience, and other relevant factors (salary may be adjusted based on geographic location).

Job Opportunity

Armstrong World Industries, Inc. (AWI) has a job opportunity for an Architectural & Design Sales Manager to cover the greater Dallas – Fort Worth market along with coverage of east Texas, Waco, and northern Louisiana.

The Architectural & Design Sales Manager will interact with architects, interior designers, owners, and facility managers to influence and hold the specification of Armstrong Commercial Ceiling, Wall, and Specialty Systems. Additionally, this role will be responsible for meeting or exceeding the sales budget regarding price, volume, and mix as well as partnering with other Armstrong sales reps to drive improved business results.

What You’ll Do
  1. Achieve the territory’s sales goals and grow the business by increasing market share, improving product mix, increasing average unit price, sales, volume, mix, and introducing new products.
  2. Influence people who make the specification decisions and have a positive influence on others’ behavior.
  3. Assist architects and designers in writing specifications for Armstrong Commercial Ceilings, Suspension Systems, Architectural Specialties, and wall systems.
  4. Track projects with the Armstrong team members to establish plans for the sales of Armstrong products in these buildings.
  5. Grow the business and increase market share by creating customer value and competitive advantage.
  6. Learn and continuously improve through individual and team learning and development initiatives.
What will make you successful
  • Demonstrated ability and experience to effectively manage multiple relationships and priorities.
  • Ability and experience to plan effectively, both short and long term.
  • Working knowledge and experience with construction, contracting, and distribution.
  • Proficiency with computer software, including Microsoft Windows applications.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Construction Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of architectural sales experience.

  • Proven success in architectural selling.
