The Connecticut Department of Housing’s Architectural Design Reviewer 1 position is based in Hartford and focuses on independent architectural design review, contract document analysis, and collaboration with consultants to prepare drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. This full-time, 40-hour-per-week role requires a minimum of six years in architectural design and strong CAD

Qualifications

• Six years of experience in preparing architectural designs and project documents.
• Experience utilizing computer aided design and drafting (CADD) equipment.
• Knowledge of building and fire codes.
• Ability to review, interpret and apply contract provisions and read blueprints.
• Ability to accurately estimate project costs and utilize computer software.
• Experience with construction plan review related to building code and accessibility requirements (preferred)

The Architectural Design Reviewer 1 works within the Connecticut Department of Housing's Architectural and Technical Services unit to review housing development applications, closing documentation, and construction plans. The role involves independently performing architectural design review, analysis of contract documents, and assisting consultants in the development of project documents including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. This is a full-time, 40-hour position based in Hartford, Connecticut.
