Job summary

The Progressive Companies Summer Internship Program is a paid, full‑time experience designed to launch your career. As an Architectural Student Intern, you will work with design architects, project architects and project managers on the building design process, including schematic designs and Revit modeling.

You will participate in site visits, mentoring sessions, and education programs within a multi-disciplinary firm.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a NAAB-accredited Architecture Bachelor’s degree program required.
• At least one year of undergraduate studies completed by Summer 2027 required.
• Basic knowledge of Revit strongly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of architectural design, building systems, sustainability, and related trends.
• Strong math, analytical, design and problem-solving skills, and ability to communicate well.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with Project, SharePoint and Teams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the project team to help meet project schedules and budgets.
• Manage multiple project tasks in a timely, accurate manner, monitoring progress against project scope and resources.
• Provide documentation for final architectural plans, elevations, sections, and details.
• Assist in preparing building models and detailed contract documents.
• Check code compliance information as it relates to the discipline and other disciplines.
• Collaborate with designers, architects, and managers to understand modifications to project design, scope, schedule, and budget.
• Use design software (Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, InDesign) for presentation and production.
