Job summary

Harrison French and Associates (HFA) in Bentonville, AR seeks a Professional Student to support the Design Team in developing architectural/engineering designs and construction documents using 2D and 3D software. You will work under the supervision of full‑time staff designers, Team Leads and Client Leads.

This internship emphasizes learning building codes, zoning regulations, design coordination, and construction documentation, with hands‑on experience in a collaborative architectural

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture or interior design or architectural studies preferred.
• Internship requires an 8-week commitment in Bentonville, AR, Monday–Friday (8am–5pm).
• Internship participants must be within 18 months of college graduation.

Responsibilities

• Use 2D and 3D software to assist the Design Team in developing designs and drafting construction documents under supervision.
• Independently tackle challenges on projects with support from Design Team leads and client leads.
• Gain experience evaluating client requirements, building code, and zoning regulations to develop design recommendations.
• Produce accurate construction documents detailing client visions and goals.
• Document and analyze existing building conditions to produce as‑built documents and reports.
• Coordinate building components and systems with other disciplines to develop construction documents.
• Perform quality control of own work before submission to supervisor.
