Job summary

CFE Architects is seeking an experienced Architectural Construction Project Manager to oversee construction phase tasks from foundation to 100% completion. You will coordinate with our design team and 2nd tier consultants, ensure code and ADA compliance, and manage field operations.

The role requires strong knowledge of design principles, construction documents, building codes, and a willingness to research and grow professionally.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6-8 years of related Construction Administration experience including Job Site Field Experience.
• Proficient in preparing detailed schematic and for construction sketches utilizing Bluebeam Revu or Adobe.
• Proficient in utilizing construction industry RFI & Submittal Logs, Procore a Plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and respond to RFIs and manage responses from 2nd tier design consultants.
• Review and coordinate shop drawings, equipment and material submittals with design consultants.
• Coordinate design plan changes with consultants for building department approvals and contractors.
• Prepare and issue detailed design sketches and directives.
• Attend and represent the design team at OA C/ Owner-Architect-Contractor meetings to address issues.
• Conduct job site field observations and reports for construction documents compliance.
• Assist in addressing building department inspector questions and concerns.
• Review monthly contractor pay applications and change order requests.

Job description

CFE Architects is currently seeking an experienced Architectural Construction Project Manager to administer all of the required tasks on behalf of our design team, including our 2nd tier design consultants, during the construction phase of Projects from the initial placement of foundations through to the final 100% completion. Candidates should have a firm knowledge and proficiency on aspects of design principles, construction documents, Building Code and ADA Accessibility requirements, construction methods and a willingness for research with a desire for continued growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Thoroughly review and respond to contractor (RFI'S)/Request for Information and manage the responses from our 2nd tier design consultants.
• Thoroughly review General & Subcontractor contractor Layout Shop Drawings, Equipment and Material Submittal's and manage the reviews from our 2nd tier design consultants to ensure contractor compliance with the Permit set of construction documents.
• Coordinate all required design plan change revisions with consultants for distribution to building department authorities and contractors.
• Prepare and issue detailed Design Sketches and Directives.
• Attend and represent the design teams at all O.A.C. / Owner Architect Contractor Meetings to track and address all matters and current issues.
• Conduct Job Site Field Observations and field Reports to ensure compliance with construction documents.
• Assist in addressing building department field inspector questions and concerns.
• Review monthly Contractor Pay Applications and when requested contractor request for contract change orders.

Education and/or Experience

• Minimum of 6-8 years of related Construction Administration experience including Job Site Field Experience
• Proficient in preparing detailed schematic and for construction sketches utilizing Bluebeam Revu or Adobe.
• Proficient in utilizing construction industry RFI & Submittal Logs, Procore a Plus.
