Job summary

Talent Edge Recruiting is seeking an Architectural Associate in Kansas City for an early-career role focused on historic preservation, restoration, and adaptive reuse. You will collaborate with project managers and experienced architects, contributing from design through fieldwork and construction administration.

Ideal candidates have 1–4 years of experience, a Bachelor of Architecture, and proficiency in Revit.

Qualifications

  • 1–4 years of professional architecture experience.
  • Bachelor of Architecture degree required.
  • Experience in historic preservation or restoration preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers with design and predesign project production.
  • Produce construction documents and technical drawings.
  • Perform site visits, field investigations, and existing-building documentation.
  • Assist with Historic Structure Reports and condition assessments.
  • Support preservation, rehabilitation, restoration, renovation, and adaptive reuse projects.
  • Coordinate project details with architects, consultants, and project teams.
  • Support construction administration on applicable projects.
  • Assist with proposals and government RFQ responses.
  • Travel to project sites throughout the Midwest and nationally.
