Farnsworth Group in Champaign, IL is seeking an Architectural Associate at entry level. You will support the design team, visit sites, and help prepare construction documents under supervision.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (Master’s preferred) with 0–2 years of experience and proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Enscape, and Lumion. This role offers a hybrid work program and opportunities for ARE exam progress.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Architecture preferred; Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture required from an accredited university.
• 0–2 years of professional experience.
• Proficient use of Revit; experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Enscape, Lumion, and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and motivation to learn and be curious about design.
• Ability to collaborate with team members and follow instructions.
• Interest in completing the ARE exams.

What You’ll Do:

• Visit project sites to review and document existing conditions
• Supports preparation of creative and innovative design ideas, concepts, and solutions while participating as an integral member of the design team.
• Provides design support under supervision for schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
• Assists in preparing client presentation materials using design application skills and creative ideas.
• Uses a creative approach to perform tasks and responsibilities on projects in an organized, timely, and consistent way.
• Self-checks work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and compile data for document compliance in accordance with the Project Delivery Manual.
• Provides support to tasks within project teams
• Keeps open communication within team and with project managers.
• Assists with coordination among partners and consultants.

What You’ll Need:

• Master’s Degree in Architecture preferred; Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture required; degree must be from an accredited university
