Gridwork AE, an architectural design and structural engineering firm in Portland, Oregon, is seeking a talented architectural staff member to produce design documents and support projects through programming, schematic design, code reviews, construction documents, consultant coordination, jurisdiction submittals, and construction administration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture from an NAAB accredited college.
• Licensed or actively pursuing licensure.
• A minimum of 5 years of work experience on commercial and/or industrial projects.
• Ability to work independently in a self-directed manner.
• Strong work ethic and motivation to learn.
• Excellent organizational, communication, critical thinking, and design skills.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Production of design documents and project support including programming, schematic design, code reviews, construction documents, consultant coordination, jurisdiction submittals, and construction administration tasks.
• Over time, may include project management duties such as client contact, scheduling and budgeting, contract writing, and business development.
• Duties may include providing occasional drafting assistance to the structural staff as needed.
