Job summary

Infostud Group is seeking an Architect or Architectural Designer to work remotely from Serbia on residential and real estate projects located in the United States. Job description

HIRING: Architect / Architectural Designer – Remote Position - Resume must be in ENGLISH.

We are looking for an experienced Architect or Architectural Designer in Serbia to work remotely on residential and real estate projects located in the United States.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of U.S. residential construction standards, building codes, construction drawings, and permitting requirements. Experience with Illinois building codes and especially Village of Northbrook, Illinois requirements is highly preferred.

Important: A U.S. architectural license is not required for this position. We are primarily looking for someone with strong technical knowledge who can prepare professional drawings and designs for our projects. Knowledge of U.S. building and zoning requirements is more important than holding a U.S. license.

Requirements:

• Architecture degree or strong professional architectural/design experience
• Strong 3D modeling and rendering ability
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, or similar software
• Ability to create professional floor plans, elevations, sections, site plans, roof plans, and construction details
• Understanding of U.S. residential construction methods
• Familiarity with U.S. building codes and zoning requirements
• Ability to research local municipality requirements when necessary
• Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
• Ability to meet deadlines and make revisions quickly

Preferred Experience:

• Previous architectural work for projects in the United States
• Village of Northbrook zoning and building requirements

Responsibilities:

You will receive measurements, sketches, photographs, existing plans, and project ideas from us and turn them into professional CAD drawings and 3D computer designs.

You may also be required to:

• Revise drawings based on our comments
• Revise plans based on contractor or engineer feedback
• Research zoning, setbacks, height restrictions, lot coverage, and other local requirements
• Make revisions requested by municipalities during permit review
• Prepare clean and organized drawing files that can be shared with contractors, engineers, and local professionals

This is a remote position based in Serbia, working on projects primarily located in the Chicago / Northbrook, Illinois area.

Compensation

• Your hourly rate or preferred monthly compensation
