Job summary

SWA Group seeks an architect or landscape architect with strong BIM/Revit experience to lead BIM operations for high-profile urban design projects in the USA. The role requires coordinating design teams, developing workflows, and delivering SD, DD, and CD packages under SWA’s BIM leadership.

Ideal candidates will have 5–10 years in BIM coordination, deep knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and related tools, plus experience delivering US projects and collaborating with consultants.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years BIM Coordinator or BIM Project Lead in high-profile design firms.
• Advanced knowledge of Revit, Autodesk Forma, Navisworks from live projects.
• Proficiency in BIM software for landscape architecture (AutoCAD, C3D, Dynamo, Rhino, GH).
• Knowledge of ISO 19650, BIMForum LOD Spec 2025, and related standards is a plus.
• Experience delivering BIM for US projects and coordination with consultants.

Job description

BIM Coordination and Specialist services to SWA Group with highly skilled technical consulting and supporting staff to proactively manage our Building Information Management (BIM) software environment by providing support and assistance to the BIM project SWA team, including project setup, development, and maintenance, standards compliance monitoring and auditing, support, mentoring, and other process improvements as required, under the oversight and coordination of SWA’s Firmwide BIM Manager.

Looking for an architect or landscape architect with solid BIM / Revit experience:

Key Responsibilities

• Leading the BIM team delivery of large, high-profile projects.
• Experience in executing project BIM tasks as required by the Project Manager, as well as coordination and execution of BIM tasks as required by prime or the project BIM leadership team.
• Familiarity with BIM Uses and ability to complete deliverables based on project-specific BIM Uses expectations and requirements.
• Providing BIM support and guidance to internal design teams.
• Overseeing and managing project design teams for BIM implementation.
• Developing project-specific workflows in compliance with project BIM Execution Plan and company standards.
• Managing and delivering packages on time, including multiple milestones and deadlines for SD, DD & CD
• Establish standards, practices and guidelines for Landscape Architecture in Revit
• Assist project team on specific BIM project(s) in setup and planning for required BIM deliverables
• Develop or aid in development of Revit content creation.
• Initiate Model for each project and prepare for production team.
• Work as part of a BIM/CAD support team to achieve consistent results, under the leadership of SWA’s Firmwide BIM Manager.
• Daily model management administration and maintenance.
• Over the shoulder training, developing and shadowing to staff.
• Content creation of fully parametric families based on SWA’s and/or the project’s Shared and other parameters.

Skills And Experience

• 5-10 years’ experience as BIM Coordinator or BIM Project Lead in high-profile design firms.
• Advanced knowledge of Revit, Autodesk Forma, Navisworks, gained from working on live projects.
• Proficiency in all software platforms related to the execution of BIM/Revit applications in landscape architecture (AutoCAD, C3D, Dynamo, Rhino, GH, etc.).
• Hands-on knowledge of ISO 19650, BIMForum LOD Spec 2025, and other applicable domestic and/or international standards a plus.
• Knowledge, skills and experience on how to create / manipulate / and work with site conditions, topography, the public realm, urban design and landscape architecture elements as they relate to complex urban projects.
• Experience on all phases of design in BIM, with focus on delivery of Design Development and Construction Documentation packages.
• Experience coordinating with relevant consultants and periodically sharing progress and incorporating changes.
• Experience leading and coordinating a project design/modeling team.
• Excellent communication skills and solutions-driven approach to challenges. Excellent ability to self-direct and complete tasks in a compliant and satisfactory manner.
• Experience developing and adopting BIM workflows and implementing BIM strategies with an understanding of the relationship between drawings and specifications.
• Experience delivering projects in the USA. Experience in international projects is a plus.
