Job summary

Metropolitan Companies Fort Washington is seeking a full-time Architect Level II to join our growing team. This role requires 5+ years of professional experience and licensure or active licensure pursuit, reporting to the Residential Architect Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Licensed Architect or actively pursuing licensure.
• Minimum 5–7 years of professional experience.
• Experience with multi-family residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design from concept to completion.
• Develop construction documents, specifications, and drawings.
• Conduct site visits and provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design efforts from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with client goals and project requirements.
• Develop and oversee detailed construction documents, specifications, and drawings.
• Conduct site visits, evaluate project progress, and provide technical guidance during construction phases.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Coordinate and integrate multi-disciplinary team efforts, including structural, MEP, and other consultants.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building regulations.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining quality standards.
• Mentor and provide technical support to junior architects and design team members.
• Participate in client presentations, business development efforts, and proposal preparation as needed.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Proficiency in BIM design software, including ArchiCAD, Twinmotion and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and materials.
• Knowledge of zoning codes, building codes, and permitting processes.
